
Nick was raised in a military medicine household. His father was an Independent Duty Corpsman for the US Submarine Force. As a child, he saw the positive impact his father had on the crew.
Driven to change his circumstances, he applied to the University of Miami Accelerated BSN program and was awarded a full scholarship and worked at the University of Miami Hospital for four years as a bedside nurse in a busy cardiac-telemetry, step-down, stroke overflow unit.
During his MSN training he completed clinical rotations at: Jackson Memorial Hospital ER, Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (Formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) Pediatric Surgery, University of Miami Hospital: Neurosurgery, University of Miami Hospital: Endocrinology, and the University of Miami Diabetes Research Institute. He completed his Maternal Health Field Clinical training in Thomonde, Haiti through Project Medishare.
Nick enjoys music and songwriting, culinary, resistance training, and has recently rediscovered bicycling, logging over 1,000 miles in 2020, and 865 miles in 2021 – the year his daughter was born.
As a FNP, his scope of practice is primary care for individuals of all ages.
FNP Archer completed his Post Graduate Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology at Duke University with a 4.0 GPA.
Nick awaits the day a certifying exam will be created for Endocrinology Nurse Practioners so he can become dual-certified.
